Johnson Valley OHV Recreational Area

Camp on the dry lake bed and ride all day and night. February was very cold at night and hot during the day. Bring other activities such as horseshoes, bocce balls, games and reading material. Town is a distance and not much of it, so come prepared.

Directions: North on I 15. Turn rt on Bear Valley Road. Go approx 12.5 m on Bear Valley. When you get to the 18 make a rt at the stop sign. Take the 18 for approx 10.5 m. At the 18 / 247 intersection you will be in a small town. From the stop sign at this intersection you will go approx 13.2 m on the 247 (Old womans spring rd). At this point you will see a sign on the right hand side of the road that reads Johnson Valley OHV area. (this will be the SECOND Johnson Valley sign you see) Turn left here. This is Bessemer Mine Rd. It is a dirt road and may not be marked. Take this road approx 3.5 m. At this point you will see a small shack on the right hand side of the road. It takes around 20 minutes on the dirt road.
